The Team Member Trainer position at Tropical Smoothie Café involves significant responsibility in ensuring that all team members receive comprehensive training aligned with brand standards. This role is key in coaching, developing, and supporting management and crew members, particularly in addressing staffing needs and managing under-staffed cafés effectively. The Trainer also plays a pivotal part in facilitating new software implementations and delivering ongoing education on operational systems to maintain efficiency.
Daily duties include managing inventory training, standardizing team member training programs, and ensuring all café stations operate to established standards. The Trainer must be proficient in every café position and uphold Tropical Smoothie Café’s high-quality service expectations. Collaborating with crew members, customers, and vendors while embodying core values ensures a thriving work environment that delivers excellent customer service every day. Success in this role comes with completing the Café Basics and Certified Trainer Program, gaining solid foundational knowledge and skills necessary for training excellence. The Trainer’s role also includes performance management through tools like MyInventory for labor and inventory control. This position requires a proactive approach to meet the café’s operational goals and deliver an outstanding guest experience consistently.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- excellent management and supervisory skills
- strong working knowledge of Excel and Word

Job Duties
- Assist in inventory training when necessary
- drive brand values and standards through all training and development activities
- assist with the coaching, training, and development of management and crew members
- assist with hiring and staffing needs while focusing on critically under-staffed cafes
- provide support for any new software rollouts and training
- ensure team member training programs are executed per Tropical Smoothie Café and DYNE standards
- interact with crew members, customers, and vendors using DYNE’s core values
- deliver unparalleled hospitality to each customer that visits our cafe
- be knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe
- successfully complete the Cafe Basics and Certified Trainer Program
- ensure each station operates to Tropical Smoothie Cafés standards
- train and coach crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are upheld
- use tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control inventory using MyInventory
- perform additional tasks necessary to run the cafe
