As a General Manager at DYNE Hospitality Group, you will take on a pivotal leadership role that demands a blend of operational expertise, team development, and customer service excellence. This position is salaried and exempt, involving a 50 to 55+ hour work week with flexible hours that may require early mornings starting at 5 a.m. or late shifts until midnight, corresponding to café operational needs. The General Manager will report directly to the District Manager and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the café.
Your core responsibility will be to inspire a healthy lifestyle by delivering amazing food, smoothies, and a tropical-themed café experience. You will lead a dynamic team by recruiting, training, and mentoring crew members, crew leaders, and assistant managers, ensuring that the staff embodies the company’s culture and standards. Your role will entail driving sales while managing expenses like food and labor costs, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a positive work environment. Being hands-on and ready to work alongside your team in various roles within the café is essential to this position.
This role is central to maintaining the café’s operational success, including managing food preparation, customer service, staff scheduling, and safety protocols. It requires a keen ability to analyze performance metrics such as sales goals and inventory levels, using tools like Micros MyInventory to monitor and control inventory. Additionally, you will be accountable for cash management, payroll accuracy, and compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- two or more years of restaurant experience including supervisory roles
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong management and supervisory skills
- current valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- proficient in Excel and Word
- strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
- ability to read, understand and follow instructions
- physical ability to walk, stand, bend, reach overhead, stretch frequently
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

- handle cash management and safe counts
- correct and submit payroll on time
- perform additional operational tasks
- attend meetings and training
- review and understand profit and loss statements
- work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
