Job Description

DYNE Hospitality Group is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to creating exceptional dining experiences and fostering a positive workplace culture. Operating a diverse collection of cafes, DYNE Hospitality Group emphasizes not only quality food and service but also a strong organizational culture that values its people. The company upholds four core values: Invest In People, Understand Why, Make Smart Decisions, and Make It Happen. These principles guide every aspect of their operations, including hiring, promotions, reviews, and internal communications. With a commitment to their culture, the group has distinguished itself in the hospitality industry, ensuring that each cafe under its umbrella embodies these values.

The Assistant General Manager role at DYNE Hospitality Group's café locations is a critical operational leadership position. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this exempt salary role demands a 45+ hour work week with varied schedules tailored to meet the dynamic needs of the business. The Assistant General Manager serves as a vital support system for up to 30 to 40 cafes and plays a key role in the operational success and growth of these venues. Travel constitutes approximately 25 to 30 percent or more of the job, reflecting the necessity to collaborate and provide hands-on assistance across multiple locations.

In this role, the Assistant General Manager oversees a wide range of responsibilities aimed at maintaining and elevating operational standards. This includes supporting General Managers by covering their absences, facilitating transitions, and managing cafes without an assigned General Manager. The position also involves driving training and development programs for management and crew, ensuring adherence to the company's rigorous standards. Assistant General Managers assist in inventory training, hiring, staffing, and the rollout of new software systems, all while promoting the DYNE brand values.

Furthermore, this position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in basic computer programs like Excel and Word. The role demands physical activity, such as frequent walking and lifting up to 50 pounds, reflecting the hands-on nature of café operations. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and at least two years of restaurant experience that includes progressive supervisory duties, ensuring they have the practical knowledge and leadership capability to thrive.

DYNE Hospitality Group offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for long-term career advancement, making this an attractive position for candidates seeking to grow within the hospitality industry. The company's commitment to culture and employee development makes it an excellent environment for those passionate about operational excellence and team leadership in a fast-paced café setting.
