We are currently seeking a full-time Restaurant Manager for Founders Club at St James. This role is pivotal to the success of the club's dining operations and offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The Restaurant Manager will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations on the property, ensuring that guest expectations are continually met or exceeded. This includes managing staff, coordinating with the Food & Beverage Director, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving sales and marketing initiatives for the restaurant.

The established pay range for this position is $52,000 to $57,000, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong service orientation and business aptitude, supported by proven management experience in food and beverage operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and a solid understanding of health regulations and liquor laws are also essential. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills are vital to maintain the high standards of service Founders Club is known for.

This role demands hands-on involvement in daily operations, including hosting pre-shift meetings, supervising employees such as servers, bartenders, and hosts, and overseeing the execution of quality assurance and guest service initiatives. The Restaurant Manager also assists with special events and sales efforts, conducts training programs, controls costs, and ensures that all employees perform their duties professionally and in compliance with all regulations.

Working conditions include physical activity such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. The successful candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays to support the club’s service schedule.

Job Duties

  • Daily management of restaurant operations
  • Organizes and conducts pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, house counts
  • Assist Food & Beverage Director with event sales
  • Greets guests at tables to ensure complete customer satisfaction attention to guest needs
  • Supervises and develops servers, bartender, host/hostess, and other employees in the restaurant
  • Oversees daily restaurant activities to include serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, and general clerical/cashier duties
  • Conduct training and refresher classes for all restaurant employees in the correct procedures
  • Maintaining cost controls and conducting a monthly inventory
  • Implement and maintain restaurant sales/marketing programs
  • Quality assurance, guest service and training of all restaurant employees
  • Responsible for overall guest satisfaction
  • Ensure all employees are conducting themselves in a professional manner
  • Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with the Department of Health regulations
  • Complies with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local/state laws
  • Closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director
