Job Description

Superior Plus Propane is a leading provider in propane solutions, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers with safe and reliable propane delivery and services. As a company committed to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction, Superior Plus Propane operates across numerous locations, focusing on delivering propane in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner. Recognized for its supportive and inclusive work environment, the company emphasizes collaboration, respect, and open communication among its teams. Superior Plus Propane is known for competitive compensation packages, flexible scheduling options, innovative technologies, and a continuous commitment to the professional growth of its employees. By joining this team, employees gain access to industry-leading resources such as LYRA, a comprehensive platform that supports their physical, mental, financial, and social well-being while fostering a 24/7 safety mindset that permeates the entire organization.

The Traveling Propane Delivery Driver position (Assistance & Contingency Team) plays a crucial role in supporting Superior Plus Propane locations during extreme weather events and urgent customer demand periods. This role requires skilled drivers who can safely operate propane bobtails to load, transfer, and deliver propane efficiently. Unlike typical driving roles, this position involves frequent travel within the state, throughout the Western region, and even out of state as needed, providing vital support where it is most necessary. When not deployed to emergency areas, the driver completes standard propane deliveries in their home region. This dual responsibility necessitates adaptability, strong knowledge of propane handling and safety procedures, and the ability to work in challenging conditions, including harsh weather such as snow, ice, and disaster-affected zones.

Compensation for this role ranges from $30.00 to $33.00 per hour, adjusted based on the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, geographical location, and market conditions. Superior Plus Propane also offers a great total rewards package, including flexible work hours to maintain a healthy work-life balance and state-of-the-art tools and technology to facilitate efficient deliveries and effective communication. The company prioritizes safety through rigorous vehicle inspections, proper routing, deployment coordination, and thorough documentation practices. Employees in this role communicate closely with dispatch to receive routing and deployment instructions and are responsible for maintaining professionalism in all paperwork and operational tasks. This position demands a valid Interstate CDL Class A or B license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, a clean driving and safety record, current DOT medical certification, and the ability to travel extensively, often with only 24-48 hours notice.

Superior Plus Propane affirms its commitment to equal opportunity employment and encourages applications from all qualified candidates. The company also emphasizes accommodation in the recruitment and selection process, striving to ensure an inclusive experience for all applicants. This role is ideal for individuals committed to safety, excellence, and providing critical support in challenging environmental and operational conditions while being part of a forward-thinking and supportive organization.
