The company emphasizes a culture of safety, inclusivity, and respect, fostering an environment where employees are rewarded and recognized for their contributions. Core-Mark offers competitive pay and extensive benefits, including day-one health and wellness benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more, demonstrating its commitment to supporting its workforce not only in their professional roles but also in their personal growth and well-being. The company is an equal opportunity employer, ensuring that all applicants and employees are treated fairly regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or other protected characteristics, maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This inclusive approach enhances a positive workplace culture where diversity is valued and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
The Merchandiser role at Core-Mark is essential for maintaining the visual presentation and inventory accuracy in retail locations throughout the state of Oklahoma. This position involves extensive travel, requiring 70 to 90 percent driving during the workweek with overnight stays compensated by company-paid hotels and per diem allowances. Scheduled Monday through Friday starting at 8 am, the Merchandiser uses their personal vehicle to visit assigned stores and ensure products are displayed according to detailed planograms. The role demands a strong focus on customer service, communication, and attention to detail. Merchandisers are responsible for replenishing stock, organizing shelves, pricing items, rotating products, and cleaning display areas to ensure compliance with standards that drive sales and customer satisfaction. Additionally, Merchandisers monitor inventory performance, identifying slow-moving or discontinued products and suggesting profitable replacements to support each customer's business success. Core-Mark supports its Merchandisers with a phone and car allowance plus mileage reimbursement to facilitate efficient job performance. This position demands physical activity, including lifting products ranging from 5 to 25 pounds frequently throughout the day and occasionally heavier cases up to 70 pounds. The company values self-motivated, detail-oriented candidates who excel at working independently with minimal supervision, exhibit excellent communication skills, and provide outstanding customer service. Overall, the role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a robust and dynamic industry leader while performing vital work that ensures the smooth operation of America's food distribution system.
