Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a surgical technologist
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Availability to work daytime shifts in Chicago, Illinois
  • Ability to travel at least 50 miles from permanent address for assignment
  • Valid certification or credentials as required by healthcare facility
  • Compliance with all licensing and healthcare regulations
  • Reliable transportation and ability to relocate temporarily for assignment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a surgical technologist in an operating room setting
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments

Job Duties

  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments and equipment
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
  • Ensure all surgical tools and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly
  • Monitor patient safety and respond promptly to any issues during surgery
  • Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and equipment used
  • Collaborate with surgical team members to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and hospital protocols
