Job Description
World Travel Holdings is recognized as the nation’s largest cruise agency and an award-winning leisure travel company, operating nearly 40 distinct travel brands. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this company is dedicated to fostering a people-focused culture with a strong emphasis on employee engagement and remote work opportunities. With decades of expertise in the travel industry, World Travel Holdings has built a reputation for delivering personalized and exceptional travel experiences to customers, combining technology-driven solutions with a genuine passion for vacation planning. The firm supports its employees through comprehensive training, a collaborative environment, and career development initiatives that encourage both personal and professional growth within the travel sector.
The role of Travel Sales Agent at World Travel Holdings offers a unique chance for individuals passionate about travel to transform that enthusiasm into a rewarding and dynamic remote career. This position involves serving as a trusted travel advisor by providing personalized vacation recommendations that align with the customer’s interests and preferences. The agents primarily interact with potential clients through inbound phone calls, averaging one to two calls per hour, aiming to build strong customer relationships. The position demands accuracy and efficiency when processing new reservations, managing modifications, and nurturing leads through follow-up outreach and CRM database updates.
Travel Sales Agents also engage prospective customers through targeted marketing campaigns and proactive outbound communication, maintaining engaging and professional phone conversations while adeptly navigating multiple computer systems and software platforms. The job requires a high level of customer service demonstrating World Travel Holdings’ Customer Connection methodology and a commitment to meeting or exceeding individual sales goals. Agents participate in regular team meetings, ongoing coaching sessions, and continuous training to improve skills and enhance performance.
This full-time remote position operates within a virtual call center environment with a structured work schedule. Training lasts six weeks, conducted Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST. Following training, shifts may vary between 10:00 AM and 11:30 PM EST, including weekends, holidays, and non-consecutive days off. Additionally, quarterly shift bidding allows agents to select schedules that may range from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM EST.
Compensation includes a paid training wage of $15 per hour and an average first-year earning potential of approximately $40,000, which may increase based on individual performance through a combination of base pay and incentive-based earnings. Benefits package encompasses comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, company-paid life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with discretionary matching contributions, paid time off, travel discounts, employee perks, employee assistance programs, and professional development initiatives.
Overall, this role is ideal for energetic, self-motivated candidates who thrive in a remote work setting, possess strong sales ability, excellent communication skills, and have a genuine passion for helping clients plan memorable travel experiences.
