Job Description
World Travel Holdings is the nation’s largest cruise agency and an award-winning leisure travel company that operates nearly 40 distinct travel brands. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the company prides itself on fostering a people-focused culture that supports employee engagement and flexible remote work environments. With a strong reputation for delivering exceptional travel experiences, World Travel Holdings has positioned itself as a leader in the leisure travel industry. Their commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and employee development makes them a desirable employer for individuals passionate about the travel sector and eager to grow within this dynamic field.
The Travel Sales Agent position at World Travel Holdings offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who are passionate about travel and excel in sales and customer service. This remote role is designed for those who thrive in virtual environments and enjoy building meaningful customer relationships. Travel Sales Agents act as trusted advisors, providing personalized vacation recommendations tailored to each customer's preferences and needs. The position involves handling inbound calls, managing reservations, and nurturing leads through systematic follow-ups and use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Agents must efficiently navigate multiple systems while maintaining engaging conversations with prospective customers to deliver a seamless experience.
This full-time role typically requires 35-45 hours per week, with a structured training period lasting six weeks. During training, employees work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST. After training, shifts may be assigned between 10:00 AM and 11:30 PM EST, including weekends, holidays, and non-consecutive days off. Scheduling is flexible with quarterly shift bids allowing for some variation, with possible hours extending from 6:00 AM to 2:00 AM EST to accommodate business needs.
Compensation includes paid training at an hourly rate of $15, with average first-year earnings near $40,000, depending on performance. Agents receive either a base pay or incentive-based earnings, whichever is greater, providing ample earning potential for highly motivated individuals. Moreover, employees benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage as well as company-paid life and disability insurance. Additional perks include a 401(k) plan with discretionary company match, paid time off and holidays, travel discounts, employee assistance program (EAP), and professional development opportunities to support career growth.
Overall, this role is well suited for sales-driven, customer-oriented individuals who are self-motivated and comfortable working in a virtual call center environment. The company encourages ongoing training and coaching, emphasizing continuous improvement and team collaboration. World Travel Holdings is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants receive consideration without regard to protected status. Joining their team means becoming part of a vibrant, travel-focused company that values commitment to excellence and rewarding careers in the travel sales industry.
