Job Requirements

  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association
  • Ability to work the specified shifts Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Tuesday, Thursday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Good physical condition to handle prolonged standing, walking and patient lifting
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in a potentially communicable disease environment
  • Demonstrated accountability in patient assessment and evaluation
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors or Associates Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means
  • Develop, implement and monitor individualized plans of care for patients
  • Perform and direct administration of physical therapy modalities
  • Collaborate with patients, their families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Manage pain and promote mobility and health as prescribed by the physician
  • Document patient progress and update treatment plans accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations including bloodborne pathogen protocols
