The current opportunity is for a travel nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery, available for a 13-week assignment in Toledo, Ohio. This role is designed for an experienced LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) nurse who holds a minimum of two years of recent professional experience in this specialty and possesses NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification. This travel nursing job requires working 36 hours per week, predominantly during night shifts of 12 hours each, including every other weekend and holiday coverage. The setting is a busy, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit equipped with 10 Labor and Delivery rooms, 2 triage beds, 3 recovery rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 20 Mother/Baby rooms, handling a patient load that averages 125 deliveries per month.

The nurse will participate in a multidisciplinary team environment with 24/7 OB resident and anesthesia coverage, as well as NICU attendance present at all high-risk deliveries. The position demands advanced skills in fetal monitoring, utilizing systems like the Philips Avalon and OBIX, and requires the nurse to float to Postpartum and Mother/Baby units as necessary. Epic electronic health record experience is preferred for this role, which also welcomes local candidates holding an active Ohio RN license or compact RN license. Responsibilities will include patient assessments, development and implementation of care plans, medication administration, care coordination, triage and emergency management, and nursing intervention evaluations within obstetric and women’s health populations.
