Job Requirements
- Valid registered nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in operating room nursing
- Experience specifically in cardiovascular operating room preferred
- Ability to work day shifts
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel if required
- Compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols
Job Qualifications
- Valid and current registered nurse (RN) license
- Experience working in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications
Job Duties
- Provide direct cardiovascular operating room nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Prepare and maintain cardiovascular surgical instruments and sterile environment
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during surgery
- Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately
- Educate patients and families about preoperative and postoperative care
- Adhere to established protocols and safety standards in the operating room
