Job Description
ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is a reputable and well-established healthcare staffing company that has been diligently placing healthcare professionals across the United States since 2004. Originally founded in Atlanta, Georgia, ADEX has grown substantially and now operates its headquarters in Tampa, Florida. As a Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) certified agency since 2009, ADEX ensures compliance with the highest standards of service and professionalism in healthcare staffing. Their extensive network and commitment to quality have made them a trusted partner for healthcare institutions seeking qualified nursing and allied health professionals. The company specializes in travel nursing assignments, providing exceptional opportunities for nurses who want to experience diverse healthcare environments while advancing their careers.
The current opening is for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Santa Rosa, California. This 13-week travel nursing assignment offers 36 hours per week, working 12-hour day shifts. The position is designed for a nursing professional with priority on Level III or Level IV NICU experience. Santa Rosa's medical facility is a comprehensive medical center equipped with advanced neonatal intensive care capabilities, including Level IV NICU services. The center is known for maintaining high standards of patient care and relies on modern technology systems, including Epic charting software, which aligns with the agency's emphasis on quality patient outcomes.
As a Travel Nurse RN NICU, candidates must be prepared to work a demanding schedule that includes three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) with every other weekend required, and optional voluntary call shifts. To succeed in this role, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting. Additionally, candidates must possess California RN licensure at the time of submission, along with essential certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), both aligned with American Heart Association (AHA) standards. A thorough seven-year work history verification is required, and candidates must be willing to submit to background checks and disclose any relevant incidents or DUIs prior to submission.
Candidates must be capable of meeting specific orientation and onboarding requirements, including lab work within 3-5 days of signing and completing e-learning modules averaging 1-5 hours. The role includes compliance with travel requirements within a 50-mile radius and accommodates only one holiday approved time off during the assignment. There is also a return staff policy that requires a 1-year gap before returning as a travel nurse with the agency. The compensation package for this role is based on 12-hour shifts at 36 hours per week with a tax-free stipend, though the exact amount is subject to confirmation. A $750 referral bonus is offered as an incentive for referrals.
Santa Rosa, California offers an attractive setting for healthcare professionals, providing a balance of the picturesque wine country charm in Sonoma County and the conveniences of urban living. Noted for its stunning vineyards, mild climate, and proximity to San Francisco and the Pacific Coast, the area presents excellent dining, outdoor recreational activities, and a vibrant arts culture. This environment fosters a high quality of life, which, combined with the comprehensive resources of the healthcare facility, creates an ideal placement for NICU nurses looking to make a meaningful impact in neonatal care.
