Job Description

Lakeshore Athletic Services (LAS) is a highly regarded leader in athletic event production, boasting over 45 years of expertise in managing and supporting athletic competitions. Founded by a former NCAA athlete and coach, LAS operates on core principles of teamwork, comradery, and persistence. The company specializes in race management, logistics, and professional timing services for various events including road races, track and field meets, and triathlons, spreading across numerous cities nationwide such as Chattanooga, TN, Louisville, KY, and Panama City Beach, FL. Headquartered in Morton Grove, IL, LAS also has offices and warehouses in Palmetto, FL, and Mesa, AZ. This breadth of operation allows LAS to maintain a prominent presence in the athletic event management industry throughout the United States.

The Travel Athletic Event Crew Member role at LAS is designed for motivated individuals who enjoy an active and outdoor work environment and thrive in a team setting. This position involves traveling to event locations to provide crucial support for high-energy athletic events like road races and triathlons. Event locations for the immediate 2026 season include prominent events such as IRONMAN New Mexico Ruidoso, IRONMAN Ohio Sandusky, USAT Milwaukee Wisconsin, and the Lifetime Chicago Triathlon, all requiring timely presence and dedicated service. Crew members are responsible for the setup and teardown of event equipment and infrastructure, operation of utility vehicles, and performing a variety of physically demanding tasks that are instrumental to the successful execution of these events. This position offers competitive daily pay starting at 180 dollars, with additional increases based on performance and driver status. Workers also receive guaranteed daily pay plus per diem for travel assignments, making this a reliable and rewarding part-time weekend opportunity until December 2026 in the Chicagoland area.

Joining LAS means becoming part of a seasoned, supportive team in a rapidly growing industry. The company emphasizes professionalism and safety, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol and requiring crew members to strictly adhere to all safety protocols and conduct codes. The role requires flexibility for early mornings and weekend work and demands physical stamina to handle outdoor work in various weather conditions. If you are an individual who is ready to contribute to delivering unforgettable experiences at races and events across the country, this position provides a vibrant, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in athletic event operations.
