Job Requirements
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
- Ability to read write and communicate in English
- Physical ability to remain in stationary position and move about including moving equipment weighing 50-100lbs
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel showing professionalism
- Ability to grasp perform fine manipulation push pull and move about when assisting with procedures or using equipment
- Capability to cope with frequent contact with the public and meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to work under close supervision and independently
- Capacity to contend with irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification
- TNCC NIHSS CPI NRP and SANE certifications preferred
- Strong critical thinking service excellence and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read write and communicate in English
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Commitment to maintaining highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics
Job Duties
- Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival prioritizing care based on severity
- Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved protocols
- Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
- Monitor patient comfort and safety responding to immediate needs
- Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice
- Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment
- Respond to life-saving situations following emergency nursing standards
- Document comprehensive nursing assessments interventions and outcomes in electronic medical records
- Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
