Job Requirements

  • High school degree or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 12 months recent dialysis experience
  • Certification as Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)
  • Successfully completed CPR certification
  • Willingness to float to area sites within 50 miles of the main site
  • Commitment to 40 hours per week with overtime availability
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts
  • Employment type: Travel

  • Duration: 12 weeks
  • Ability to document and monitor dialysis treatment information accurately

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT)
  • Minimum 12 months recent dialysis experience
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital/clinical setting or related facility preferred
  • Successfully completed a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
  • Successfully completed CPR certification
  • High school degree or G.E.D.
  • Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide the direct patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to the patient treatment
  • Assist licensed nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and their documentation
  • Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets
  • Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the supervisor
  • Assist with all emergency operational procedures
  • Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment
