Currently, Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled Travel Nurse RN Critical Care Float to join a respected healthcare facility in Seattle, Washington. This travel nursing role is a contract position starting on August 3, 2026, with a duration of 26 weeks, offering 36 hours per week working 12-hour night shifts. The position specializes in critical care, requiring experience with high acuity critical care unit (CCU), intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room (ER), and medical/surgical patients. The Travel CCU RN plays a vital role in patient care by utilizing the nursing process which includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating to ensure high-quality outcomes. The nurse is accountable not only for direct patient care but also for supervising professional and ancillary personnel. Additionally, the nurse educates patients and their families, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and maintains professionalism through quality care, leadership, and continuous professional growth.

Job Duties

  • The nursing process of assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing and evaluating is the basis for all delivery of care by the professional nurse
  • The registered nurse is accountable for direct patient care and for supervising the care provided by professional and ancillary personnel
  • The registered nurse assesses the plans for the educational needs of the patient and family that will contribute to the maintenance or restoration of health status on discharge
  • As a member of the health team, the registered nurse implements the nursing plan, coordinates with the medical plan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team
  • Professionalism is demonstrated by quality of care, leadership and in continued professional growth and development
  • Quality assurance endeavors are implemented through and with the nursing team
