Job Description
Evans Hotels is a prestigious, family-owned and operated hospitality group with a rich history dating back to 1953. Located in San Diego and Southern California, Evans Hotels boasts an impressive portfolio featuring two prominent properties on Mission Bay — the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa and the Bahia Resort Hotel — as well as the distinguished AAA Five Diamond rated The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla. The company is deeply committed to fostering a supportive and enriching work environment, evidenced by its dedication to employee development, professional growth, and community involvement. Evans Hotels emphasizes the well-being of its staff through numerous initiatives such as leadership training programs, employee appreciation events, and recognition awards. Additionally, the company actively contributes to local community welfare through volunteer opportunities and company-wide environmental efforts, including beach clean-ups.
The role of Travel Concierge at Evans Hotels is a pivotal position within the leisure sales team. This role is dedicated to providing a seamless and highly personalized booking experience for FIT (Fully Independent Traveler) guests, travel advisors, and corporate clients across Evans Hotels' distinguished properties. The Travel Concierge acts as the primary point of contact for making high-touch reservations, managing complex itineraries, and coordinating bespoke travel plans tailored to the expectations of luxury travelers. Working under the guidance of the Director of Leisure Sales and alongside the Corporate and Leisure Sales Manager, the Travel Concierge is entrusted with the critical responsibility of driving revenue growth through superior service delivery and cross-property collaboration.
This role demands a high level of expertise in handling intricate bookings and guest preferences while maintaining an expert knowledge of each property's unique offerings, including accommodations, dining, spa services, golf, and local cultural experiences. The Travel Concierge ensures continuous engagement and relationship-building with travel advisors and frequent guests, guaranteeing that each interaction reflects the brand's commitment to luxury and attention to detail. In addition to delivering an outstanding guest experience, the Travel Concierge plays an essential part in back-end operations by supporting lead follow-ups, booking coordination, data management within CRM systems, and contributing to the achievement of sales goals.
The pay for this role ranges from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, dependent upon experience. This position includes an attractive set of perks such as referral bonuses for hired candidates, discounted hotel rooms for employees and their loved ones, free parking or discounted transportation cards, free meals and refreshments during shifts, and opportunities for career advancement. Benefits extend to comprehensive health coverage, including dental and vision plans, a 401k plan with matching contributions, life insurance, paid sick leave, vacation time, and various discounts on services like phone bills, gym memberships, and shopping. This multifaceted role offers a blend of customer-facing responsibilities and internal coordination, perfect for candidates passionate about luxury hospitality, personalized travel planning, and contributing to a renowned hotel group’s ongoing success.
