Pilot Flying J, a prominent part of Pilot Company, is currently searching for an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to oversee their bustling retail facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning and success of high-volume travel centers and restaurants. The Retail Assistant Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of business plans aimed at meeting established standards, achieving sales and profit targets, and securing high levels of customer satisfaction. Core responsibilities include ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded, conducting effective team meetings, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. As a leader, the Retail Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in building, coaching, managing, and developing their teams through staffing, interviewing, hiring, and training processes. This managerial position requires a hands-on approach in driving sales, managing team performance, tracking inventory, delivering excellent customer service, and performing profit and loss analysis. Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery or other service industry with responsibility for financial results
- Previous management proficiency in high volume retail with P&L accountability
- Ability to create and maintain a customer focused culture
- Must work flexible schedule including nights, days, weekends and holidays
