Job Requirements
- Completion of accredited cardiac sonography training program
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or similar credential
- Minimum of one year experience in a clinical cardiac sonography role
- Availability to work full-time travel assignment for 13 weeks starting 08/03/2026
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on 8-hour day shifts
- Valid licensure or certification as required by the state of New York
- Willingness to relocate temporarily to Stony Brook, New York
Job Qualifications
- Certificate or degree in cardiac sonography or related allied health field
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent
- Proven experience performing cardiac sonographic procedures
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and echocardiography techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance
Job Duties
- Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations to assess heart function and structure
- Analyze echocardiographic data and prepare reports for physicians
- Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient diagnoses
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Educate patients about the procedure and address their concerns
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols within clinical settings
- Document patient information and examination results accurately
