This position is for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab located in Sacramento, California. The role is a 13-week travel assignment starting on June 9, 2026, with the option for extension upon successful completion of the initial contract. The employment type is travel nursing, requiring a commitment of 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The schedule includes call requirements, with mandatory call one night per week and up to every other weekend, as well as weekend and holiday shifts. The nurse will work primarily in a 3-room cardiac cath lab performing approximately 3,000 high-acuity cardiac catheterization cases each year.
As a Travel Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab, the RN will be responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including advanced treatments such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Mitraclip procedures, along with some peripheral vascular cases. The position demands proficiency with state-of-the-art cardiac technology including equipment such as Rotablator, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Shockwave, Impella devices, and Balloon Pumps. Candidates must have a minimum of two years recent hospital bedside experience and possess current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years recent hospital bedside nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts including call and weekend rotations
- Required certifications BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

- Must wear radiation badge supplied by agency

- Must provide 2 supervisory references from cardiac cath lab modality
- Scrub experience highly preferred
Job Qualifications
