As a Travel Sales Agent at AAA The Auto Club Group, you will have the exciting opportunity to turn your sales skills into a fulfilling career by helping clients plan unforgettable vacations. This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive base salary, uncapped commission, and performance bonuses. Additionally, new hires may qualify for a signing bonus ranging from $1,500 to $3,000, depending on experience, with eligibility requirements and a one-year payback clause. You will be part of a fast-paced and dynamic industry where strong sales skills and a customer-focused attitude are highly valued. No prior travel experience is required, as ACG provides comprehensive training and professional certification programs, including travel partner training and familiarization tours. The role is based on-site in an ACG branch facility, engaging directly with members both in-person and via phone.
As a Travel Sales Agent, your primary responsibility is to generate new sales and retain existing members by offering a variety of competitive travel products and services such as cruises, tours, hotel accommodations, air travel, car rentals, travel insurance, AAA credit cards, and memberships. You will prepare complex travel packages, handle reservations, and advise clients on documentation requirements. In this role, you will proactively build and grow your personal book of business through effective lead management and customer referrals. AAA provides free qualified leads and a robust support structure to reduce administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on sales and customer satisfaction. You will leverage digital tools and in-office travel events to drive sales and enhance member experiences. Job Duties
- Generate new sales, retain existing members and grow ACG’s overall book of business through multiple product offerings
- Drive new business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club Group’s 14+ million members
- Establish and grow mutually beneficial relationships with AAA Members to maximize their member experience and use of AAA benefits leading to profitable sales revenue growth and repeat travel bookings
- Achieve assigned travel, membership and credit card sales goals
- Sell cruises, tours, hotel accommodations, air travel, car rental, travel insurance, AAA credit cards, AAA memberships and related travel products and services
- Prepare complex and/or large scale domestic and international travel packages
- Complete reservations and advise clients regarding documentation requirements
- Make necessary travel arrangements including reservations, collecting money and processing documents
- Receive and champion customer concerns through to resolution
- Ask for referrals, build and grow a book of client business by utilizing the AAA ACG lead system
- Proactively learn and utilize AAA ACG digital and communication technologies to achieve objectives
