The role of Travel Sales Agent at AAA The Auto Club Group represents an excellent opportunity for motivated sales professionals eager to grow within the travel and hospitality industry. This is a full-time, hourly position offering a competitive base pay combined with uncapped commissions, performance bonuses, and potential signing bonuses ranging from $1,500 to $3,000, dependent on experience. Applicants must be new to ACG within the last 180 days to qualify for the signing bonus, which has a one-year payback clause if employment ends prematurely. This position involves working in an office setting where agents will serve members in person, utilizing a structured career path that rewards performance with growth and earnings potential.
The Travel Sales Agent's primary responsibility is to assist clients in planning unforgettable vacations by selling various travel products including cruises, tours, air travel, hotel accommodations, car rentals, travel insurance, and AAA memberships and credit cards. The agent will be tasked with generating new business, retaining existing members, and expanding ACG’s overall book of business. This role requires strong interpersonal and sales skills to effectively drive revenue growth through consultative selling and careful understanding of customer needs. The job is ideal for individuals with a passion for sales, excellent communication abilities, ambition, and a desire to build long-term client relationships. Job Duties
- Generate new sales, retain existing members and grow ACG's overall book of business through multiple product offerings
- Drive new business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club Group's 14 plus million members
- Establish and grow mutually beneficial relationships with AAA members to maximize their experience and use of AAA benefits
- Achieve assigned travel, membership, and credit card sales goals
- Sell cruises, tours, hotel accommodations, air travel, car rental, travel insurance, AAA credit cards, AAA memberships and related travel products and services
- Prepare complex and/or large scale domestic and international travel packages
- Complete reservations and advise clients regarding documentation requirements
- Make necessary travel arrangements including reservations, money collection, and document processing
- Receive and champion customer concerns through to resolution
- Ask for referrals, build and grow a book of client business by utilizing the AAA ACG lead system
- Proactively learn and utilize AAA ACG digital and communication technologies to achieve objectives
