The Transportation/Valet Attendant role at Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club is pivotal to maintaining the welcoming and professional environment that defines the club. This position represents the first and last point of contact for members and guests, underscoring the importance of exemplary service and strong interpersonal communication skills. The Valet Attendant is responsible for efficiently and safely parking and retrieving vehicles and golf carts, as well as driving transit vans to transport members and VIP guests both onsite and to offsite destinations such as the local airport. This role is essential for creating a seamless and enjoyable transportation experience, contributing directly to the overall member satisfaction and the renowned Discovery Land Company experience.

The role requires a keen focus on safety and operational efficiency. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of parking and transport vehicles, performing routine vehicle condition checks, and adhering strictly to local traffic laws and safety regulations. The attendant will also assist with baggage handling and support members with wheelchairs, providing a comprehensive and thoughtful service experience.

Working as part of the Transportation Department, the Valet Attendant will collaborate with other team members to manage transportation schedules, run errands, and prepare detailed reports on operations such as passenger trips, mileage, and fuel consumption. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to support the club’s dynamic operations, especially during peak events and busy times. The role requires physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and handle heavy items when necessary.
