The Transportation Manager position at Core-Mark's Hayward location, situated at 31300 Medallion Dr., Hayward, CA 94544, is a vital leadership role within the company's transportation department. This salaried position requires working Monday through Friday with variable hours based on business needs. Start times may be as early as 2:00 AM and the weekly hours can be approximately 50-55, with potential variations during periods of increased operational demand. The role includes up to 15% travel, including quarterly site visits and customer locations, as well as visits to domiciles in Eureka, Gilroy, and Santa Rosa, CA. The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000, depending on experience, with potential bonus opportunities based on key performance indicators.

As the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate will co-direct all functions of the Transportation Department, including creating and managing annual business plans. Responsibilities extend to managing drivers, routes, deliveries, vehicle maintenance, security, and safety measures, all contributing directly to the division's success and enhancing customers' experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, continuously seek ways to improve service, and foster a culture of innovation within the department. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both the tactical operations and strategic functions of the transportation team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery operations that align with company goals and comply with all regulatory standards.
