Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years experience in transportation, delivery, or warehouse distribution
- Minimum of one year experience overseeing a workforce
- Ability to lead and develop teams
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with DOT regulations
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze operational data
- Ability to travel 10 percent for meetings or training
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting up to 100 lbs, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, bending, and twisting occasionally
- Must be safety oriented
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead with a safety mindset to ensure injury-free operations
- Champion safety procedures, processes, and training to maintain a safety-first culture
- Oversee and develop drivers and transportation associates through coaching and training
- Discuss performance with senior transportation managers and create improvement plans
- Motivate associates to achieve department goals and encourage upward communication
- Direct and supervise work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates
- Participate in hiring transportation personnel and deliver disciplinary actions
- Monitor production goals and maintain accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot delivery problems and implement cost-effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Identify waste and improve processes for safety and efficiency
- Conduct routine safety and driver meetings
- Oversee maintenance of driver qualification files
- Investigate accidents and take preventative actions
- Schedule shifts effectively using planning tools
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
