Job Description
The Ascendancy Group (TAG) is a premier provider of specialized solutions for special operations forces (SOF) and the Intelligence Community. Established with a strong foundation of relationships, reputation, and trust, TAG is dedicated to delivering top-tier technical, service, and training-based solutions that enhance the operational efficiency and capability of its clients. The organization prides itself on employing professionals who share a commitment to national security, many of whom are former members of the Department of War or Intelligence Community. This unique blend of experience and passion fuels TAG’s mission to support the nation’s security through innovative and reliable services. TAG operates primarily through contract-based opportunities that emphasize teamwork, integrity, and excellence in all endeavors.
This current opportunity centers on joining TAG as a Transportation Equipment Yard Boss to provide critical logistics support services to the Naval Special Warfare Group 1 (NSWG-1) LOGSU-1 workforce. This role is essential for maintaining the effective day-to-day operations and sustaining adequate logistics support for NSWG-1. Reporting directly to the LOGSU-1 Transportation Division’s Dispatch Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) and Leading Petty Officer (LPO), the Yard Boss is entrusted with overseeing the management and care of government vehicles and equipment in the vehicle yard.
The Transportation Equipment Yard Boss will ensure the orderly check-in and check-out of government vehicles, maintain strict parking arrangements, and deliver excellent customer service to support NSW commands. Duties include setting up and securing the vehicle wash rack area daily, conducting thorough 360-degree inspections of vehicles to check the exterior, interior, and underneath components, and verifying all compartments including those under and in-between seats. The candidate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of the vehicle yards, ensuring correct parking, and performing regular vehicle rounds to monitor conditions such as tire pressure and windows.
An additional responsibility is the management of vehicles that have not been in operation during the week, which includes cycling and cleaning protocols to maintain readiness. The Yard Boss also oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of the wash rack collection pit and fuel water separator bi-monthly and is tasked with ordering the necessary wash rack supplies and cleaning gear. Managing the check-in/check-out process for collateral equipment, organizing storage areas like the collateral container and cage, and conducting monthly inventories of all collateral equipment, including toolboxes, fall within the role’s scope. Ensuring maintenance shop vehicles are clean and fueled also forms a part of this position’s duties.
Candidates for this role must possess a Commercial Driver’s License and maintain a valid forklift license. Proficiency in operating personal computers with standard business software, especially Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required. An understanding of logistic programs and systems that influence logistic capability and capacity at installation and strategic levels is critical. The role demands a strong attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy in completing tasks, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the aptitude to draft correspondence in military format when necessary.
TAG offers a unique work environment that promotes working in small, specialized teams on challenging projects integral to national security. This role is contingent upon contract award, reinforcing the necessity for flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic operational setting. With a focus on trust, professionalism, and dedication, TAG invites qualified, experienced, and driven individuals to apply and contribute to the advancement of America’s defense capabilities.
