The Transportation Associate position at MSI is an entry-level role within the rapidly growing transportation department supporting the administrative needs of MSI's private fleet operations spanning 54 locations nationwide. This full-time role, requiring Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with occasional Saturdays, offers competitive compensation ranging between $22 to $25 per hour, and includes overtime pay at one and a half times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $59,000 and $65,000 annually, with potential earnings influenced by experience, overtime, and bonuses. The Transportation Associate is responsible for a wide array of support functions including fleet compliance, accurate recordkeeping, vendor coordination, and interdepartmental communication to keep fleet operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include managing vehicle files, registrations, permits, and maintenance tracking, auditing fleet management data, handling transportation inquiries, assisting in fleet projects, and ensuring adherence to state and federal transportation regulations. The role demands someone with exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Job Duties

  • Provide administrative support for transportation and fleet operations across 54 MSI locations
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, vehicle files, registrations, permits, and compliance documentation
  • Monitor transportation inboxes and respond to inquiries from branches, vendors, and internal departments
  • Assist with monitoring completion of vehicle maintenance, telematics installations, recalls, and other fleet-related services
  • Enter, audit, and maintain data within fleet management systems
  • Support vendor management activities including obtaining quotes, tracking service requests, and maintaining vendor records
  • Monitor and track open transportation projects to ensure timely completion and proper follow-up
