The role of Transport Engineer - Naval Engineer is a full-time position based in The Woodlands near Houston, USA. This position is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a background in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or related fields, blending engineering knowledge with hands-on project management to oversee complex logistics operations. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including managing multimodal freight moves across air, sea, road, and rail, developing and revising transport method statements, conducting stability and structural calculations for vessels and barges, and executing critical roll-on/roll-off operations.

This role requires close collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders such as clients, subcontractors, and technical vendors to ensure transport solutions are both safe and efficient. Transport engineers at dteq also contribute to the company's continuous improvement by supporting digitalization efforts through software tool development and customization. About 50% of the work involves site visits, both domestically and internationally, providing varied and dynamic project exposure.
