Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to an AA degree or two years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Good driving record
- Proof of insurance
- Own transportation

Job Qualifications
- Education equivalent to an AA degree from an accredited institution, specializing in social services or special education, preferred
- Two years of experience providing instruction or working one-on-one with individuals having developmental and/or physical disabilities or supporting senior populations
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Proof of insurance and own transportation
- Strong proficiency in Word and Excel
- Demonstrated customer service skills in field settings
- Dedicated home office space for remote work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with a demonstrated concern for safety of vulnerable populations
- Ability to self-manage in remote settings
- Ability to inspire confidence in participants’ ability to use public transportation independently
- Passion for working with vulnerable populations showing integrity, responsibility, dependability, punctuality, flexibility, initiative, and clear communication
Job Duties
- Conduct assessment with clients and family in their home to determine participants’ functional skills, abilities, and necessary training requirements
- Maintain daily contact with family and/or other agency staff as required for individual training
- Teach while traveling on public transportation, and within the community
- Demonstrate patience, compassion, and empathy for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities, as well as senior citizens
- Be a strong self-manager, team orientated with excellent communication skills
- Solve problems independently in changing environments
- Maintain knowledge of the local transit system
- Make safety a top priority
- Provide strong customer service with an understanding of working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities and senior community
- Maintain a dedicated home office space for working remotely
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills
- Research and understand different disabilities to better support students
- Develop individual training plans for participants
