MV Transportation is currently seeking a Transit Instructor to join their team and facilitate the independence of individuals by teaching them the skills required to effectively utilize public transportation. This role is crucial in empowering participants to access community resources, maintain their autonomy, and enhance their quality of life through safe and confident use of transit systems. The Transit Instructor will work closely with the Program Manager, Outreach Coordinator, and external partners to support program goals, ensure accurate documentation, and fulfill reporting requirements. This position offers remote work flexibility, requiring a dedicated home office space, and reports to management while maintaining regular communication with clients and families. The starting pay rate is competitive, ranging from $29 to $29.87 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement, paid time off, and other employee incentives.

The role involves conducting functional skills assessments in clients' homes to identify training needs and developing individual training plans tailored to each participant's abilities. The Transit Instructor provides one-on-one field training within community settings, primarily using public transportation modes, to promote independence and safety.
