Established as a market leader in rare diseases and plasma therapies, Takeda prides itself on fostering innovation, inclusivity, and excellence across all levels of the organization. Recognized as a Global Top Employer, Takeda promotes a collaborative and diverse workplace where employees are unified by a shared mission to deliver better health and a brighter future to individuals worldwide. BioLife Plasma Services operates as a subsidiary of Takeda, specializing in plasma collection and donation centers that supply critical raw materials for life-saving medicines.
Takeda offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment grounded in purpose and teamwork, providing employees with extensive opportunities for career advancement and personal growth. For those passionate about making an impact, Takeda provides not only a meaningful work experience but also a supportive culture, comprehensive benefits, and a commitment to equitable pay and transparency.
The role at BioLife Plasma Services in Waco, TX, centers on overseeing the general management and operations of the plasma production areas within the donation center. Reporting directly to the Center Manager, the role involves supervising a team of employees responsible for plasma collection and related processes. The position requires ensuring that staff meet performance goals, adhere to company quality standards, and foster a safe and efficient workplace. A distinctive aspect of this position is the daily motivation derived from interacting with plasma donors, knowing the collected plasma is vital for producing life-changing medications for patients in need.
The position is full-time and offers an hourly wage range of $22.80 to $31.35, reflecting the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and job location. In addition to competitive pay, a $2000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates. The job includes opportunities for short-term incentives and comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with company matches, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, sick leave, and vacation accrual.
Key responsibilities include managing training programs for employees, reviewing quality control documentation, coordinating new employee orientation, and assisting with hiring. The role also requires motivating staff to meet performance and quality standards, addressing operational and safety concerns, and collaborating with the management team for escalated issues. Due to the nature of plasma collection, candidates must be prepared for physical demands such as standing and walking during shifts, frequent lifting, and adhering to safety protocols involving potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Takeda’s mission-driven environment ensures that employees contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a robust support system and pathways for professional development. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who thrive in a healthcare-focused, team-oriented environment and seek to make a tangible difference in patients' lives every day.
