Atlas Air Worldwide is a prominent global aviation company recognized for its exceptional cargo, passenger, and leasing operations spanning over 70 countries. Established over 30 years ago, it has shaped the aviation landscape with its commitment to safety, service excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and responsibility. With a modern fleet comprised entirely of Boeing aircraft, Atlas Air Worldwide boasts nearly 5,000 dedicated employees working cohesively across operations, technical, and corporate sectors. This extensive network supports the company’s mission to deliver unparalleled aviation logistics services, positioning them as a leader in outsourced aviation solutions globally.
At Atlas Air Worldwide, the culture embraces growth, innovation, and a shared dedication to excellence. The company values its team members as its greatest asset and fosters an environment where employees can develop professionally while contributing to the broader mission of moving the world effectively and safely. The organization’s leadership places strong emphasis on compliance with all regulatory standards, operational reliability, and continual improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.
The position of Training Evaluation Systems Specialist is instrumental within the Training and Development department, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive training evaluation systems compliant with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. This role is vital for transitioning the company’s training programs from traditional FAA Subpart N & O standards to the more advanced Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) framework. The Specialist will work closely with a range of stakeholders including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Data Management Specialists, internal teams, and external vendors to deliver effective and user-friendly evaluation tools for pilots, instructors, dispatchers, and crew schedulers.
Responsibilities in this role include building and maintaining electronic training evaluation forms tailored to various training courses and fleet types, ensuring they align with classroom, simulator, and instructor-led training settings. The Specialist is also responsible for configuring and monitoring system workflows within the Airline Information Management System (AIMS), utilizing advanced analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to track expiration and evaluation results. Rigorous testing and validation of forms before production launch guarantee compliance, accuracy, and optimal usability.
Troubleshooting forms an essential element of this role, with the Specialist providing critical support to training personnel by resolving issues related to scoring logic, user access, data fidelity, and workflow efficiency. Additionally, the Specialist maintains extensive documentation including version control, audit trails, and release records associated with training materials and system enhancements. Collaboration with AQP, Training and Standards, Training Records, and IT stakeholders is required to ensure evaluation systems align with operational demands and regulatory requirements.
The Training Evaluation Systems Specialist supports audits and FAA data requests by offering detailed documentation about system controls, evaluation logic, and data reporting accuracy, reinforcing Atlas Air Worldwide’s higher standards for compliance and operational integrity. Participation in system upgrades, new course launches, and technology improvements will further expand the role’s influence in advancing training capabilities and effectiveness. This position requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to foster continuous improvement in training evaluation processes.
