Job Description

GDIT, or General Dynamics Information Technology, is a global technology and professional services company dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and mission-critical services to key U.S. government agencies, including the defense and intelligence communities. With a workforce of over 26,000 experts spread across more than 50 countries worldwide, GDIT leverages advanced technologies in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development to provide cutting-edge, mission-ready capabilities. Their broad global footprint and extensive government partnerships enable them to play an integral role in supporting national security missions and operational readiness.

This particular position is for a Trainer II role under the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. The trainer will support the XVIII Airborne Corps Hub and Spoke Mission Training Complexes with a focus on delivering, planning, and coordinating individual sustainment and collective Mission Command training. This involves leadership development, warfighter functions training, and simulation-based exercises that range from squad levels up to Echelon Above Brigade (EAB). The role also emphasizes technical integration between simulation systems and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, while establishing and maintaining training and exercise networks.

The Trainer II will directly contribute to the readiness and effectiveness of our nation's Army by preparing and delivering tailored training plans and events. Responsibilities include updating training support packages, maintaining a comprehensive repository of relevant Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and assisting unit leadership in identifying and addressing training gaps. Moreover, the Trainer II is expected to integrate live, virtual, constructive, command, and control capabilities within training environments and provide on-the-spot training and simulation support in multiple functional areas.

Candidates for this role must have a substantial background in military-related experience, with at least 8 years of relevant service and hold a current SECRET security clearance. The position requires familiarity with the principles and techniques of security system monitoring and alarm procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. The work location rotates among multiple XVIII Airborne Corps Mission Training Complex sites including Ft Liberty, Campbell, Drum, and Stewart. While the standard work hours are 0730-1600, flexibility for night or weekend shifts may be required to meet training event demands.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $72,877 to $98,599, influenced by factors such as experience, geographic location, and contractual stipulations. GDIT provides employees with a comprehensive benefits package including 401K with company match, health and wellness programs, professional growth opportunities with paid education and certifications, access to cutting-edge technology, and paid time off for rest and relaxation. GDIT values its people as a key differentiator in mission success and encourages internal mobility to help employees own their career trajectory.

In summary, the Trainer II role at GDIT is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting the United States Army’s mission readiness through innovative training solutions and technical integration. It combines the excitement of applied technology with the critical importance of national defense training, offering candidates a rewarding career path with a leading government technology services provider.
