Job Requirements

One year experience in a customer service role providing face to face instructions and clarifying information with ability to solve problems and resolve customer inquiries
High school diploma or equivalent
Successfully complete a required training program
Valid Utah Driver's License with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years
Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and customers
Ability to read and understand training and safety materials
Ability to prepare written incident reports
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet physical demands of the job including walking entire train and lifting up to 35 lbs
Must pass a criminal background check
Regular and predictable attendance

Job Qualifications

One year experience in a customer service role providing face to face instructions and clarifying information with ability to solve problems and resolve customer inquiries
High school diploma or equivalent
Successfully complete a required training program (training provided by UTA)
Speaking a second language is a plus but not required
Must have a valid Utah Driver's License with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years
Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years
Ability to communicate with supervisors and customers and maintain good customer relations both orally and over the phone and radio
Ability to read and understand training materials, operating manuals and operating and safety rules and directives
Ability to prepare legible written reports of incidents
Ability to work independently without supervision
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job including walking the entire train between stations, maintaining stability while walking, placing bridge plates, operating doors, and lifting up to 35 lbs

Job Duties

Oversee the safety of customers boarding/riding the Commuter Rail (FrontRunner)
Provide customer service at station platforms
Assist passengers with bridge plate deployment per ADA requirements
Oversee the wellbeing of customers on board the train and station platforms
Walk the entire train between stations
Communicate appropriate information to dispatchers, Transit Police, customers, supervisors, and others designated to receive such information
Answer questions from customers and others
Shuttle UTA personnel and passengers using a non-revenue shuttle van to transport other UTA personnel and passengers on occasion
