The position of Trails Program Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Parks & Recreation Department, responsible for overseeing the city's Trails Program. The Trails Program Coordinator supports various trail volunteer events, including small and large group workdays, quarterly volunteer meetings, and community hikes. This position requires coordinating volunteers and maintenance staff, enhancing the volunteer program through training initiatives, inspection programs, and gathering feedback from trail users.

Additionally, the Trails Program Coordinator designs marketing strategies, creates maps and documentation for events, manages equipment and supplies, and prepares administrative reports. Coordinating related projects to meet program objectives and recruiting and scheduling volunteers are also key responsibilities.
