The Traffic Supervisor position at Ace Hardware involves managing and supervising the daily operational activities of the hourly traffic department employees. These activities include overseeing dispatches, deliveries, and ensuring adherence to transportation routines. The position requires a comprehensive approach to maintaining Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, managing driver qualification files, and processing driver payroll. As the Traffic Supervisor, you will conduct audits of daily logs and prompt delivery schedules, maintain positive communications with both customers and staff, and coordinate after-hours communications with drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Safety and compliance are top priorities in this role, requiring you to stay current with DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules, as well as hazard material information and regulations. You will also be responsible for planning transportation routes, assigning work and equipment, directing transportation-related services, and resolving operational issues by communicating with customers, supervisors, and managers.
