Job Description
Aramark is a leading global provider of food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries worldwide. Established with a strong commitment to service, Aramark primarily operates within the food service industry, delivering comprehensive solutions that enhance customer and client experiences at a multitude of venues, including stadiums, universities, healthcare facilities, corporate offices, and more. The company is dedicated to fostering a workplace culture rooted in diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, ensuring a respectful and supportive environment for all employees regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, or other protected characteristics. At its core, Aramark emphasizes professional growth, offering employees opportunities to develop their skills and pursue fulfilling careers that align with their passions and talents.
Within this dynamic and vibrant organization, Aramark is currently seeking a dedicated Food Service Supervisor to join their team. This supervisory role carries the critical responsibility of overseeing the entire food service operation, ensuring that all activities—from food preparation to service—are conducted efficiently, safely, and with the highest quality standards. The Food Service Supervisor will lead by example, managing daily operations, training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Key functions include producing and maintaining work schedules, preparing production records, directing the daily workflow, and guaranteeing that food quantities and menu specifications meet the required standards.
The role demands a strong focus on maintaining food safety and quality. The supervisor must ensure that all food items are properly stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment. Sanitation is a top priority, and the supervisor will be responsible for upholding sanitary conditions within the food service area by adhering strictly to health and safety codes. Inventory management is also essential, requiring accurate weekly tracking according to departmental policies and facilitating the ordering process from vendors to maintain adequate food supplies.
Additionally, the Food Service Supervisor is charged with fostering a positive work environment by supervising and evaluating employees. This includes counseling, promoting employee development, monitoring efficiency, and enhancing team morale and cooperation. The position requires a leader who is well-versed in managing cost-effective programs and can effectively balance operational demands with employee satisfaction and customer service excellence.
Aramark recognizes that fulfilling this role involves a variety of physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. The role may also require wearing specific uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain workplace safety. This opportunity at Aramark is ideal for individuals passionate about food service management, who are organized, adaptable to change, and ready to contribute to a company that values integrity, collaboration, and making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
