The firm operates with a broad geographic footprint across the United States, serving a diverse range of clients with an integrated approach to legal challenges. Its Labor & Employment practice group is highly regarded for its depth of knowledge and proven track record in handling complex labor and employment matters. The firm fosters a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture that empowers attorneys to build dynamic, client-centered practices while encouraging professional growth and leadership development.
This opportunity is for a shareholder-level attorney with significant experience in traditional labor law to join Baker Donelson's Labor & Employment practice. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and leading the firm's traditional labor capabilities across industries and multiple office locations. This position entails advising employers on various facets of traditional labor law, including union avoidance, union organizing, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, labor strategy, and matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The attorney will represent clients proactively and strategically during labor negotiations and arbitrations and is expected to maintain and expand a self-sustaining, portable book of business.
Beyond client representation, the role involves collaborating closely with other attorneys across different practice groups and offices within the firm to address complex labor and employment issues. The candidate will also serve as a mentor and leader for junior attorneys in the labor and employment practice, contributing to the development of the next generation of attorneys. The position offers a chance to be part of a leading national practice with a strong tradition of legal excellence and innovation. It is suited for a seasoned practitioner who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is eager to leverage their expertise to grow a robust practice within a well-established and respected law firm. Candidates may be based in any of the firm’s office locations, providing flexibility and access to a widespread client base.
