The role available is for a Trades Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor within University Housing Facilities, operating on a full-time, regular, on-site basis in Madison, Wisconsin. The position commands a starting salary of $92,000 or higher, reflecting the candidate's qualifications, and includes a competitive benefits package with vacation, holidays, and paid time off. The typical work schedule is a Monday through Friday shift with 8-hour days between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, with some flexibility depending on operational demands.

As a Trades or Maintenance Supervisor, the chosen candidate will lead and support a team of skilled trades or maintenance personnel working within residence halls, dining facilities, and university apartments. Critical responsibilities include fostering a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere, managing service requests, overseeing multi-trade projects, and ensuring the safety and comfort of residents and guests. The Trades Supervisor focuses on construction trades, coordinating multi-trade efforts in occupied spaces, maintaining communication with residents and parents, and managing trades supplies and budgets. The Maintenance Supervisor, on the other hand, specializes in mechanical maintenance, coordinating turnover duties in university apartments, and overseeing maintenance projects and related budgets.

Both supervisory roles serve as the unit liaison to internal stakeholder groups, align project objectives with larger strategic plans, manage budgets, approve expenditures, and exercise full supervisory authority over a team of at least 2 full-time equivalent employees.
