This exciting opportunity is for a part-time Food Stand Worker position located at the Alliant Energy Center. The role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $18.00 depending on experience and skills. As a Food Stand Worker at Sodexo, you will play a crucial part in supporting high-volume food operations centered around live events. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, store, and serve food and beverages in food court settings, ensuring customers receive prompt, high-quality service. The position blends fast-paced service requirements with an emphasis on teamwork, product availability, cleanliness, and operational efficiency during peak periods.

The role entails working at fixed stands, portable or mobile locations, kiosks, self-service retail stores, or support areas. Service formats may range from ready-to-eat products to made-to-order items and prepackaged food and drink options. As the nature of events and locations vary, so do specific duties, requiring adaptability and a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities include preparing and assembling food and beverages following established recipes, portion standards, and operational procedures; assisting with opening and closing the food stand, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties; and operating basic food service equipment like warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers as assigned. Strength and stamina are important, with frequent lifting and moving of items weighing up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Punctuality and reliability in attending scheduled shifts are essential, alongside flexibility to perform additional tasks as required per site.

  • must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service according to local and state regulations
  • maintain valid TIPS TEAM or equivalent certification for alcohol service comply with state specific alcohol training requirements
  • food handler certification may be required depending on state or local regulations
