The role of General Utility/Dishwasher is an essential position within the club’s Food & Beverage Department. The primary responsibility involves washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other wares used in food production and service, ensuring all items are adequately cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dumpster, and back-of-the-house areas is critical to the smooth functioning of the department. The General Utility/Dishwasher supports food preparation efforts and helps maintain safety standards by keeping work areas free of hazards and in good working order.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple tasks such as operating dishwashing equipment, handling chemical dispensing systems, and assisting in buffet setup and breakdown. The position pays $21.54 per hour and typically involves shifts scheduled according to business needs. Job Requirements

- Prior experience in dishwashing or kitchen cleaning preferred

Job Duties
- Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in employee changing room/restrooms, and back-of-the-house employee areas, as well as the elevator, dumpster and receiving area
- Empty trash cans from dish room, kitchen and storeroom into appropriate refuge receptacles on a regular basis, ensuring correct supervision for recyclable items
- Remove empty boxes from kitchen and storage areas on a regular basis to dumpster area
- Keep equipment, floor, and work areas clean, free of slip, trip and fall hazards and in good working order at all times
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots, pans and utensils in accordance to local guidelines, to ensure proper supply levels to operate Food & Beverage Department efficiently
- Assist in the storing of grocery and supply items
- Assume responsibility for proper set up and operation of the dish machine, three compartment sink, garbage disposer and chemical dispensing systems
- Notify supervisor of any malfunctions
- Assume responsibility for supplies for the dish machine and notify supervisor of any instances where there would no product on hand
- Assist cooks and the Executive Chef in the preparation of food as needed
- Set-up and break-down buffet tables and theme decorations which may include ice displays
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
