The Area Sales Manager role at TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs South encompasses responsibility for sales and revenue performance across a portfolio of 2 to 10 assigned hotels. This professional will play a vital role in proactively soliciting and securing new accounts while expanding existing client relationships. Collaboration with Directors of Sales and hotel leadership is essential to meeting revenue and market share targets. The sales focus may vary by property and include Leisure, Business Travel, Group, and SMERF markets. The position demands a management-level professional willing to dedicate necessary time to fulfill duties, including adherence to overtime policies. This role requires a resourceful and organized individual with strong communication, negotiation, and computer skills. The Area Sales Manager will be involved in sales call planning, client entertainment, market trend analysis, local community engagement, and participation in sales promotions such as blitzes. Continuous knowledge development of hotel operations, policies, and compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards are key aspects of the position. The Area Sales Manager also supports daily operational meetings and performs additional functions as directed by senior management.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years hotel sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license for applicable state
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with professional selling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organization and presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Attain assigned sales and revenue goals as well as solicitation call goals for assigned hotels
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients in Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and Group segments
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to different market segments
  • Monitor and evaluate market segment trends
  • Approach guests and employees in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality regulations and sales standards
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and policies
