Job Description

FIFA World Cup 26™ represents an unprecedented milestone in global sporting events, being the first tournament to feature 48 teams and hosted collaboratively by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This historical tournament aims to unite millions of people worldwide through their shared passion for soccer. The FIFA World Cup 26™ is much more than a sports event; it’s a celebration of cultures, a vast engagement platform for fans and players alike, and an operational feat that requires detailed planning, coordination, and execution.

The organizing committee for FIFA World Cup 26™ is seeking dedicated Tournament Operations personnel to join the team based in Atlanta. This role focuses on supporting venue readiness, match-day operations, and live event delivery across stadiums and event sites in the host city. The successful candidates will play a critical role in executing a world-class sporting event in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-performance environment. The position is offered as a fixed-term contract with onsite work in Atlanta.

Tournament Operations talent will be central to ensuring that every aspect of the venues is prepared and fully functional for the event days. These individuals will coordinate with various stakeholders including volunteers, vendors, internal teams, and external partners to manage workflows effectively within their assigned zones or functions. Their work will impact crowd control, access management, accreditation, ticketing, broadcast services, hospitality, safety, security, and transportation, contributing directly to the smooth delivery of this global event.

The event roles offer a unique opportunity for professionals and enthusiasts in event operations, logistics, hospitality, and related fields to gain invaluable experience by working at the heart of a world-renowned tournament. The operational scope covers multiple specialized functional areas such as access management, broadcast and media services, commercial partnerships, fan and guest operations, safety and government engagement, competition management, and transportation logistics. Additionally, some roles extend to offsite assignments at airports, hotels, fan zones, media centers, and VIP locations.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate key professional skills outlined by the FIFA World Cup 26 Skills Framework. These include accountability – taking responsibility and learning from experience; decision making – identifying and acting decisively in critical circumstances; inclusivity – fostering collaboration across organizational levels; initiative – proactive problem-solving with minimal supervision; innovation – applying creative solutions; leadership – leading teams towards achieving objectives; and vision – understanding the broader impact and strategic goals of the organization.

FIFA26 embraces a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in its workforce, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds. Working in this role involves dealing with variable hours aligned with the tournament schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and extended shifts. The work conditions involve physically demanding tasks such as standing and walking for extended periods onsite across multiple venues. This role represents a rare chance to contribute to an extraordinary and unforgettable sporting experience that will make history.
