Job Description
PGA TOUR Americas is a premier professional golf circuit dedicated to identifying and preparing the game's future stars. The tour serves as a critical pathway for players aspiring to achieve membership on the Korn Ferry Tour, and eventually the PGA TOUR. In the 2026 season, PGA TOUR Americas will feature 15 competitive events spanning nine countries, culminating with the highly anticipated PGA Oceans 4 Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank. This championship event is where the top 10 players from the season-long points list earn their Korn Ferry Tour membership for the following year, marking a pivotal stepping stone in their professional golf careers. As an established and dynamic sports organization, PGA TOUR Americas is committed to excellence, ensuring that each tournament reflects the highest standards of competitive play and operational efficiency.
The role of Tournament Operations Coordinator within PGA TOUR Americas is an essential position that supports and manages on-site operations for events across North America. This full-time role provides a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive hands-on experience within professional golf, specifically in tournament planning, logistics, and operational execution. The Tournament Operations Coordinator works closely with the Tournament Business and Sponsor Relations team and plays a vital role in executing the TOUR’s and individual tournament’s operational objectives. Key responsibilities include managing tournament infrastructure, maintaining tournament signage, enforcing brand standards, implementing advanced scoring technology, and coordinating volunteer efforts throughout pre-event setup and live operations. This position provides exposure to a broad range of operational functions, including inventory management, transportation coordination, and volunteer training, which are crucial to delivering a seamless tournament experience.
Beyond the operational duties, this role also involves supporting player relations efforts, sponsorship activations, and engagement programs, along with overseeing player wellness areas to ensure that all equipment and facilities meet PGA TOUR Americas’ high standards. The Tournament Operations Coordinator also collaborates with the competitions team and rules officials to ensure smooth tournament gameplay. This role requires substantial travel throughout the season between the US and Canada, reflecting the international scope of PGA TOUR Americas. Candidates can expect an estimated contract duration from June through November, offering a seasonal but highly impactful career opportunity in the sports management field. With a focus on organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, the ideal candidate will thrive in this dynamic role. Additionally, the role emphasizes compliance with the TOUR’s brand standards and adherence to golf etiquette, highlighting the professional nature of both the sport and its operations.
