Job Description

We are currently seeking a Tournament and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team at The Grandover Resort & Spa. This full-time role is specially designed for an individual passionate about golf and event coordination, with a strong focus on organizing and administering golf tournaments alongside various recreational events. The ideal candidate will be motivated and dedicated to promoting the game of golf and enhancing the overall guest experience through well-planned and flawlessly executed events. The role offers an excellent opportunity to engage with guests, coordinate tournament logistics, and contribute creatively to the resort's marketing and promotional activities. Responsibilities will include on-site tournament administration—such as golf course setup, scoring, and rules officiating—as well as assisting with media and marketing tasks including press releases, photography, and social media outreach. Additionally, the coordinator will manage sales of digital on-course advertisements, oversee tournament supplies and inventory, and ensure that all recreation areas are guest-ready and well-maintained on a daily basis. The position also involves volunteer management at events and participation in broader Grandover initiatives, highlighting the resort’s commitment to creating vibrant, community-centered experiences. Job Requirements

  • Must have previous experience in organizing golf tournaments
  • Knowledge of golf game and its rules
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license is preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform on-site tournament administration including golf course setup and marking, rules officiating and local rules and notice to players, starting and scoring
  • Assist with media and marketing duties including press releases, social media, photography and tournament results
  • Sales of digital on-course advertisement
  • Order tournament supplies and maintain inventory
  • Ensure all outside recreation areas are set up and guest presentable each day
  • Check pool daily for cleanliness and proper set up
  • Ensure recreation games area is set up and removed daily on the Griffin lawn
  • Volunteer management at Grandover events
  • Participate in Grandover initiatives
  • Assist with other duties as required
