Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, marketing, economic development, business administration, or related field
- Minimum of four years experience managing or coordinating events in a convention or conference center environment
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Demonstrated ability to write and manage grants
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Job Qualifications

- Experience with grant writing, administration, and compliance highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies
- Knowledge of regional and national tourism trends
- Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days
Job Duties
- Provides financial oversight of the County’s tourism and event marketing strategies
- Plans and coordinates event staffing and advance planning of the Event Center
- Develops policies, procedures, and facility management guidelines
- Generates and implements marketing plans for the Event Center
- Facilitates relationships with hotels, restaurants, and attractions
- Administers grant funding including writing, compliance, and oversight
- Conducts presentations and educational programs for stakeholders
