Job Description
The Splash Water Parade is an innovative and dazzling touring production that captivates audiences with a unique fusion of singers, dancers, mesmerizing water effects, cutting-edge technology, and vibrant performances. As one of the most spectacular touring shows, it combines artistic excellence with technical mastery to deliver an unforgettable entertainment experience. The parade tours are hosted at various prestigious amusement parks, including Six Flags over Georgia, Carowinds, Dorney Park, and Kings Dominion, showcasing the versatility and widespread appeal of this groundbreaking production. This opportunity is ideal for talented professionals passionate about bringing large-scale live entertainment events to life and managing complex touring productions from start to finish.
The role open is the Tour Manager position for the 2026 Touring Water Parade. This is a seasonal position, requiring a high level of commitment and expertise, based on a demanding 6-day workweek with days varying from 8 to 10 hours. The Tour Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all artistic and technical aspects of the Splash Water Parade throughout its multi-city tour schedule. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of contact, coordinating with performers, technical crews, park personnel, choreographers, musicians, and designers to ensure that each performance meets the highest standards of artistic integrity and technical execution. The position demands a strong background in entertainment leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where real-time troubleshooting is often required.
One of the key aspects of the role is managing the complete production schedule, including rehearsals, run-throughs, and actual shows, while maintaining safety and performance quality. Additionally, the Tour Manager will handle logistics such as travel booking, transportation of equipment, hotel accommodations, and coordination with local park management to ensure smooth operations. The company fully covers travel and housing costs, with hotel rooms provided on a double-occupancy basis, although meal expenses are not covered. Rates for this position are paid on a flat pay basis, with no separate per diem offered.
With two distinct tours in 2026 – the Blue Tour running from May through August across three parks and the Green Tour operating from June through August at Kings Dominion – the Tour Manager will be expected to manage detailed rehearsal schedules, supervise safety meetings, oversee breakdown and transport of equipment, and maintain precise documentation of the tour's activities. Reporting to the Tour Director and collaborating closely with Corporate teams, the Tour Manager will ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, adherence to show schedules, and preservation of the artistic experience throughout the tour. Those who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to lead a talented international cast and crew will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
