Job Description

Travel + Leisure Co. is known as the world’s leading vacation ownership and travel membership company, boasting a dynamic and expanding portfolio that includes resort, travel club, and lifestyle travel brands. The company’s mission centers around putting the world on vacation, helping millions of travelers worldwide turn their vacation dreams into reality. With an innovative approach and a growth-oriented mindset, Travel + Leisure Co. creates an engaging and enjoyable work environment where employees are encouraged to learn, grow, and bring fresh ideas to the table every day. The company’s corporate culture focuses heavily on hospitality, inclusivity, and team support, fostering a workplace where celebrations and collective success are valued alongside business achievements. Located in the central Mid-City area of San Diego, California, Travel + Leisure Co. invites dedicated individuals to join their team and contribute to making memorable vacation experiences possible for their guests. This inclusive employer offers equal opportunity employment and strives to accommodate applicants who require reasonable assistance within the recruitment process.

The role of a Tour Guide at Travel + Leisure Co. plays a pivotal part within this vibrant hospitality enterprise. As the first point of contact for guests and owners, the Tour Guide establishes a welcoming and memorable arrival experience that aligns seamlessly with the company’s dedication to high-quality service and hospitality excellence. This full-time position, based at the Mission Valley location in San Diego, is primarily non-sales in nature and ensures guests receive a smooth and professional welcome. Tour Guides verify guest identities and confirm appointments while managing presentation check-ins. They also coordinate logistical and administrative activities, including preparing presentation areas with audio/visual equipment and materials. The role supports the guest journey by providing essential information about resort amenities, services, and nearby attractions, thereby enriching the visitor’s experience even before a sales presentation begins. Additionally, Tour Guides facilitate a seamless handoff to licensed Real Estate Agents while strictly adhering to California Department of Real Estate regulations, which prohibit them from discussing sales-related topics.

This role offers an exciting career pathway for those interested in real estate sales by providing structured training, including pre-licensing education and subsidies for obtaining a California Real Estate License within six months of hire. This support prepares employees to transition into commissioned sales positions, allowing for substantial career growth within the company. Compensation for this position starts at an hourly rate of $19.00 and includes the potential for flat-rate booking verification bonuses and administrative incentives. Travel + Leisure Co. also offers a comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability, life and accident coverage, a 401k plan with employer match, wellness programs, and paid time off among other perks. For those passionate about hospitality and eager to build a meaningful career where every day brings new opportunities to contribute and grow, the Tour Guide role at Travel + Leisure Co. represents a rich opportunity to start a rewarding journey in the travel and real estate industry.
