As an equal opportunity employer, the Health System values diversity, equity, and inclusion in all facets of its operations, ensuring a welcoming workplace for all employees. It offers reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities, the opportunity for full-time employment, and competitive benefits designed to support employees' overall well-being and professional growth.

A key part of this role includes spearheading new acquisition initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. The consultant will serve as the lead point of contact and content expert for internal administrators, third-party administrators, vendors, and employees. Their expertise will be crucial in managing benefit system implementations, conducting thorough vendor policy and contract reviews with legal partners, and ensuring the seamless integration of benefits throughout organizational changes such as acquisitions.

Moreover, the consultant will be responsible for overseeing the administration of health and wellness strategies that resonate with the Health System’s Vision, Mission, and Values. This includes providing plan administration, participant communication, and ongoing customer service excellence. They will drive initiatives that foster strong internal and external partnerships across departments and vendors to enhance the quality and competitiveness of the benefits offered, thereby supporting broader organizational goals related to health and productivity.

The role requires an individual with a deep understanding of Health and Welfare Benefits design and administration, advanced compliance knowledge, and the technical competence to utilize HR systems and vendor applications efficiently. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess at least seven years of human resources experience, with three years focused specifically on health and welfare benefits within a large employer setting of 3,000 or more employees.

This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to influence the benefits landscape of a prominent health system and contribute to the well-being of its employees while advancing your professional career in a supportive and innovative environment. The health system is committed to fair employment practices, ensuring equal consideration of all qualified candidates irrespective of personal backgrounds and identities.
